Where I get some of my recipes

Ok - so some of you will be familiar with how frugal my husband and I can be. I believe the word for it in Tagalog is coripots (I'm sure I butchered the spelling). Anyway, I don't buy too many cookbooks. In fact, I think most of my cookbooks were given to me as gifts or were free giveaways at events. Another place I get cookbooks are at the library. This is a great place for cooking ideas. People usually don't borrow cookbooks from the library, so they're always available and you can renew them for very long periods of time. Plus, you save money on expensive cookbooks where you may only like a couple of recipes. I just try out a recipe and write it down if I/we like it. And another good thing is that you always get the latest available edition - this may matter for some people.

Here are a couple of cookbooks I borrowed from the library and really recommend:
- The Joy of Cooking
- America's Test Kitchen Cookbook
